Dorcas: Acts 9:36-42

Interessante stukkie oor haar naam wat ek vir die eerste keer raaklees vandag:

Acts 9:36 "In Joppa there was a disciple named Tabitha (which, when translated, is Dorcas), who was always doing good and helping the poor."
--- Both Tabitha (Aramaic) and Dorcas (Greek) mean gazelle.

Hoe amazing moet dit nie wees om te sien hoe iemand uit die dood uit wakker word en regop sit. Ek probeer dit picture. Dis bietjie groot vir my om regtig te begryp hoe almal van ons sou reageer as ons dit sien! Maar een ding is seker, met so 'n getuienis en soveel mense wat dit gesien het, kan mens nie anders as om te glo dat God REAL is en dat hy wonderwerke doen nie. Dis soos kinderspeletjies vir Hom.

Acts 9:39b "All the widows stood around him, crying and showing him
the robes and other clothing that Dorcas had made
while she was still with them."
